Louise & Kofi | Durham Castle Wedding
Louise & Kofi had the most stunning Durham Castle Wedding back in April and I was thrilled to be a part of it!
A new venue is always exciting, and Durham Castle did not disappoint. Although the inside of the castle was quite dark, it did make for some extra dramatic shots, especially on the stairs.

The ceremony was beautiful, the registrar was funny, and Louise’s sister speech/reading brought most people to tears! But don’t worry, the laughter followed shortly when Louise got Kofi’s name wrong during the vows!

Hector, Kofi & Louise’s son who was 3 months old at the time of the wedding, was exceptionally well behaved, didn’t make a peep during the ceremony and was pretty much a superstar all day!

The castle dining room looked incredible, it was set up like something out of Harry Potter and really did look enchanting. All of the speeches were brilliant, not too long, not too short. Louise’s mum’s speech was heart-warming and emotional, and Kofi’s tale of asking Louise to marry him was hilarious.
The best men did a brilliant group speech where they told the guests of a bet Kofi had lost whilst attending Durham University, with the result being that the first dance song at his wedding had to be “Getting Jiggy With It” by Will Smith. So of course there was a big cheer when that exact song played for the happy couples first dance! But don’t worry – they did have an actual first dance song as well.
